Just as teachers are linked to the students they teach, Act 54 directs BESE to use measures of student growth to evaluate the performance of principals and to develop standards for ineffective and effective principals. Mirroring teacher evaluations, half of a principal’s or administrator’s evaluation will be based on student growth measures, or the GO-Index.
